AUNT BA

My good friend, Candice took these adorable pictures
of Bailee & Burton. I had to post my favorites of all
of them. Bailee was a silly, pain in the butt and would
not smile. And Burton was just a fat, adorable cutie.
They are both adorable and I am glad that I am their
Aunt Ba (as Bailee calls me).

NEW YORK CITY

I got the chance to go to NYC in February. My friend,
Taylor lives in Harlem. Cheap airfare + free place to
stay = happy Megan. Times Square was my favorite
place in Manhattan!!! I love all the lights and the busyness.
There is so much to see and do. I love that there a ton of
Broadway shows to see. We saw Wicked, Mary Poppins,
The Adams Family, & American Idiot. It was my 3rd time
seeing Wicked. I have seen it in LA and London. So of course
I had to see it in NYC too. It was freezing!!! We had a few days
of warmth, but most of the trip we had to bundle up in scarves
and hats. That darn humidity makes it so much colder!!!

Brynn & I

Fun new fact I learned: there are 2 of those
tower thingys in Times Square. The one with
the Diet Coke screen was of course my favorite :)

Ground Zero and one of the new Towers that
is being built.

We took the Staten Island ferry to see The Statue
of Liberty.

Taylor, me & Brynn on the Subway. Taking the
subway instead of driving a car is so different. I
kind of like that you can sit and read or listen to
music and not get road rage! We all went to high
school together and have still remained good friends
through all these years. I love my old besties!

Serendipity-----need I say more!

Frozen Hot Chocolate = Heaven

Brynn won us tickets to see David Letterman.
We saw Elton John & Anderson Cooper.

Manhattan Temple

MET (Opera)

Rockefeller Skating Rink

Rockefeller Center.....around the corner was the
best bakery....Magnolia Bakery....it had the yummiest
banana pudding.

The original Gray's Papaya.....there are many others
around the city.

Yummy....and this is one of my fav pictures catching
us laughing.

On top of The Empire State Building.

Thew view from The Empire State Building. It cost
$21, and you ride the elevator up 86 floors in 45
seconds. Kind of crazy!

Looking up at The Empire State Building.

Grand Central Terminal

The LOVE sign, which took us forever to find and
sadly had some construction going on around it. We
went to The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The
National History Museum. We also ate lots of yummy
food. Pizza, bagels and some excellent Peruvian food
at a place called Pio Pios. Check it out when you visit.
Another place I had to go eat at was Rice to Riches. It
is a yummy place with tons of flavors of Rice Pudding.
It is in Soho and was in the movie Hitch. Soho was another
one of my favorite places in NYC. It is full of fun shopping,
and I went to see DASH store, which is owned by the
Kardashian sisters. It was a really fun trip and I want to go
back when everything is green to see Central Park in all its glory.

RAT dog

Pippin getting a bath.

I found out that I am allergic to everything: mold,
dust, weeds, trees, pollen, dogs and cats. So I need
to bath him weekly to keep his pet dander at a minimum.
This is what he gets to look forward to every week. Poor puppy :(
I get to look forward to weekly allergy injections. I just hope that
they help since I appear to be allergic to the world!!!

PrEciOuS

Burton George Brohm

My new nephew. He is just the sweetest thing!
Jen & Trav sure know how to make the cutest kids.
Notice he is wearing a Utah hat, even though his dad
is a BYU fan.

PiNk CaKe

My 1st fondant cake. My friend, Candice
helped me make this for Bailee's 3rd birthday.
We had a few bumps in the road, but it turned
out pretty cute! Those cake shows make it look
easier than it really is.

Mom, Jen & I at dinner in our witchy outfits.

October was a great month this year! I got to dress up
multiple times and go to some great parties.
The 1st - Witches Night Out @ Gardner Village.
We made these excellent hats with our friends.
We went to dinner and then walked around and enjoyed
the atmosphere & the shops.

With my friends, Ashley & Amber.

Mine & my mom's awesome hats we decorated.

Check out my super long eyelashes ;)

3rd event- Jessica's annual Halloween party.
My co-worker throws a party every year. I
love my co-workers! We all get along so well at work
and outside of work. Plus, I think it is fun to watch my
drunk co-workers do silly things all night. And Jess
always has a brew of root brew for those of us non-drinkers.

Me & Tiff. I helped with her make-up.

5K RACES

I have been trying to get in shape and have done
a couple of 5K's that last 2 months. Staci & I did
The Night of The Running Dead. It was the hardest
race I have done yet. We didn't want to finish the course,
because you had to go around twice. But we gave it our all
and did it. It was all hills and mostly unpaved roads. But we
got to dress up as zombies, so it was fun! Plus, we both won
stuff in the raffle. Staci won an ipod shuffle & I won tickets
to the Haunted Symphony.

Our new friend, Tim.

These zombies had awesome make-up!!! RRrrr

This race was for The American Heart Association.
It was fitting to do this race with my CVU3 co-workers.
Candice, her rommie, Angie, and Evan. (Top row)
Danielle, Me & Tiff. (Bottom row)
This race was at Sugarhouse Park, and it was pretty hard,
but I was pretty darn close to my time for the SLC
5K I had done in April. I feel that this race was harder.
(More stinkin' hills.)
